It is with great pride we offer you a centre for Italian cuisine
and culture right in the heart of Sydney. Our new cooking school,
Casa Barilla is dedicated to sharing the best of Italy with you;
the best Italian produce, recipes and information to ensure you
take away a greater knowledge and passion for Italian food and
culture.
Casa Barilla is a little Italy in the heart of Annandale with a
specially designed SMEG kitchen, hands-on classes, special
guests, cultural and culinary seminars, food and wine tastings,
an in-house Italian culinary resource library, and last but not
least a 100% Italian chef, air freighted directly from Milan!
Barilla has brought out an executive chef from Italy to head up
the Casa Barilla kitchen. Luca Ciano, who has worked in Michelin
star restaurants in Italy and has gained experience
internationally for the past 10 years, has created a range of
Italian cooking classes and tastings for all ages and areas of
interest including fresh pasta making, cheese and wine tastings,
baking, risotto classes, and cooking with Barilla products. Casa
Barilla is also a base for the CIRA Cooking School run by the
Council of Italian Restaurants in Australia (see
www.cira.com.au), which will present a number of special events
throughout the year including cooking classes and dinners
featuring traditional Italian cuisine and regional
specialties.
Casa Barilla is available for private functions including
cocktails, lunches, dinners, corporate team building events,
seminars, conferences or product launches. All events can be
catered for by our Italian executive chef with the help of the
