A new Little Italy launches in Annandale, Sydney

Italy’s number one pasta, Barilla, has been cooking up a veritable storm in the lead up to the opening of Casa Barilla. This new culinary centre for all-things Italian will house the inaugural Barilla Cooking School along with the CIRA Cooking School, run by the Council of Italian Restaurants in Australia. Casa Barilla will fire up the burners, rattle the pots, "butta la pasta" (throw on the pasta) and swing open its doors on April 8, 2008 with a line up of events that will satiate even mamma's appetite! The venue will be fitted out with a customised SMEG kitchen featuring state-of-the-art equipment.

Barilla Celebrates '130 Years' of Passion for Pasta

This September, Barilla, Italy's number-one pasta maker, is celebrating its 130th birthday with the launch of the Barilla Celebrity Pasta Lovers' Cookbook to help raise funds and awareness for The Children's Food Education Foundation.

New Barilla Head Office Really Cooking

Barilla Australia's Managing Director, Terry Ryan, has announced the Australian head office will be moving to their new offices in Annandale. This former art gallery has been totally renovated and will include a large commercial kitchen ideal for classes and cooking demonstrations.
