Barilla Hosts Australian Good Taste’s Home Cook of the Year, October 2009
The Australian Good Taste Magazine’s much-anticipated Home Cook of the Year was held in October at Casa Barilla and was filmed for 9am with David & Kim. It was a fun-filled day with the home cooks battling it out for the annual award as Home Cook of the Year.
Barilla celebrates World Pasta Day on Channel 10’s 9am with David & Kim Show
As part of our Pasta celebrations this month Barilla organised a "Bolognese Cook Off" for 9am with David & Kim which aired on Monday 19th October. The Cook Off was between Mamma/Nonna Franca Locantro from Locantro Deli in Leichhardt and renowned Sydney-based Chef Danny Russo.
Casa Barilla Hosts the Province of Parma Delegation on 9th November, 2009
Situated in the Northern Italian province of Emilia Romagna, Parma is a city rich in history and tradition, famous throughout the world as the “Italian Food Valley”. Parma produces both quality food and reliable technology, key components for a successful and sustainable economy. It is also the home of Barilla.
In November, a visiting delegation from Parma, will be in Sydney to develop investment opportunities between institutional channels and the food and technology business market. The delegation will also be promoting Parma, famous for its culinary excellence and tourism market.

The Fieritalia Italian Festival will run in New Farm Park on Sunday, October 18. The Festival in 2007 attracted over 20,000 people and is set to be another huge success in 2009.
